What we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do about it.
Last updated 6 August 2026
Who we are
This site is operated by KAY OR ALPHA, of
Address to be confirmed, London, United Kingdom. We are the data controller for the personal information described on this page.If you want to talk to us about your information, email mgmt@kayoralpha.com.
What we collect
We keep this deliberately small. There are only two things.
Your email address
If you sign up to the mailing list, we store the email address you give us, the date you signed up, and the fact that you signed up through this website. That is all we ask for and all we keep.
Technical logs
Our hosting provider records standard request information such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user agent. These logs exist to keep the site running and to block abuse. We do not use them to build a profile of you, and we do not link them to your email address.
What we do not collect
This site runs no analytics, no advertising trackers and no third party scripts, and it sets no cookies. See our cookies policyfor the detail.
Why we are allowed to use it
- Mailing list: your consent. You choose to sign up, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by clicking unsubscribe in any email we send you or by emailing us.
- Technical logs: our legitimate interests in keeping the site available, secure and free from abuse.
Who else sees it
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing. We use two suppliers who process it on our behalf under contract:
- Klaviyo, which stores the mailing list and sends the emails.
- Cloudflare, which hosts and delivers the site and handles the request logs described above.
Both are based in the United States, so your information may be transferred outside the UK. Those transfers are covered by the safeguards UK law requires, which for these suppliers means the UK extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and, where it applies, the International Data Transfer Addendum to the standard contractual clauses.
We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. When you unsubscribe, Klaviyo keeps a record that you opted out so that we do not email you again by accident. If you would rather be erased entirely, ask us and we will do that instead. Technical logs are kept for a short period, typically days rather than months, and then discarded.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the information we hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete it
- restrict or stop how we use it
- send it to you or another provider in a portable format
- stop using it for direct marketing, which we will always do straight away
You can also withdraw your consent at any time. That does not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.
To exercise any of these, email mgmt@kayoralpha.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you think we have handled your information badly, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Children
This site is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly add anyone under 13 to the mailing list. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will remove them.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. If the change is significant and you are on the mailing list, we will tell you by email.
